ADVENTURES ON-CAMPUS

Virginia Woolf: Killing the Angel is a one-woman play with music that weaves the life of Virginia Woolf, as expressed in her own words, with music and songs by female composers who were her contemporaries - much of which is out of print and rarely performed.

LSESU Drama Society presents ‘Three Sisters’

A modern adaptation of Chekhov’s 1901 play, ‘Three Sisters’ follows the lives of three young women as they grapple with love, identity, and a sense of belonging. Set in a post-crisis London reminiscent of today, the characters yearn to return to the joys of their respective pasts - a now unattainable ‘utopia’. Displaced in love, career and place, the play will explore what it means to live, and suffer, when faced with change.

Come support two of our Anthropology students in this production!

Lula and the Latin American Left

With Lula poised to make a dramatic political comeback, we look at the recent Brazilian election through the lens of the broader resurgence of the left across Latin America.

Joined by specialists from across the region, we take stock of the resurgent pink tide. How have newly elected left governments faired? What prospects to we see for coordination and solidarity across the continent? And what lessons might Latin America hold for the left across the world?
